The smart fortwo cdi has the lowest emissions of any vehicle currently on sale in the UK, according to recent reports.

Analysis of the Vehicle Certification Agency and Fleet News running costs database shows the smart diesel is greener than the competition - including the Toyota Prius hybrid.

It gives combined fuel economy of 85.6 mpg and CO2 emissions of just 88g/km.

Choosing greener cars not only means less damage to the environment, but less impact on your back pocket.
The smart cdi is also cheaper to run than its counterparts; over a four-year / 80,000 mile operating cycle, it will cost £12,368 to run.

As an additional benefit, for business users it costs as little as £200 in Benefit in Kind taxation.
